Is “Baby Driver” The Greatest Movie Ever Made?

I’m not a fast car, getaway driving, action movie type of person at all. I’ve never seen any of the Fast and Furious movies and I’m pretty sure they’re making not 7, not 8, not 9, but 10 of them. FUCKING 10.

I didn’t cry when Paul Walker died, I honestly didn’t even know who Paul Walker was. All I knew was Wiz Khalifi dedicated a song to him two summers ago and they played THE SHIT out of it on every radio station. I think The Rock is overrated as fuck, Vin Diesel is lucky he made ” The Pacifier ” or I’d probably hate him too, and Tyrese is out of his mind.

Cars just don’t excite me as much as they excite other people. I still don’t have my license. ( Road test scheduled January 11th though. Wish me luck. ) Whenever people talk about cars I couldn’t care less about the discussion. It was over the summer where I saw the commercials for Baby Driver and I thought “Oh great! Another fucking car movie.” I thought it would be the stereotypical action movie filled with people driving off buildings and shit, while everything explodes and yet everyone was alive at the end.

But Then………

I saw the rotten tomatoes ratings. NINETY THREE PERCENT. The critics loved it so I said you know what Jonny? maybe its worth a shot. I saw the cast which featured Ansel Elgort, Jamie Fox, Kevin Spacey, and Jon Ham. I never saw ” Fault in Our Stars ” with Ansel but I watched this Cody Ko video ( who I’m a huge fan of btw ) and he basically explained how Ansel is the fucking man. I love Jamie Foxx and Django is probably my favorite movie of all time. Jon Hamm fucks ( and has a massive dick btw ) and Kevin Spacey, may be the the  greatest method actor of all time. I mean he still hasn’t broke character from American Beauty. ( Too soon? )

Try Amazon Music Unlimited 30-Day Free Trial So I signed up for Amazon’s 30 day free music trial right away and jammed the fuck out. Just click the link, get free music for 30 days then cancel that membership. The best part is Alexa will play all these songs so you won’t have to listen to fucking samples in your kitchen while doing that Sunday Hungover cleaning.

Not only did the soundtrack fuck but the actors actually are always moving to the beat of the song that’s playing in the background, as well as the (spoiler alert) scene where they get into a shootout with the undercover cops. Each gun shot is perfectly aligned with the beat of the song. It was truly a piece of art watching and something I hadn’t seen done before. The movies plot is great and there’s never a dull moment. I tend to be an obsessive person when I like things. ( I’ve finished the show Californication 4 times in 2 years. ) and I watched this movie three times within 48 hours. The movie has a timeless romance, with great back and forth dialogue. The director Edgar Wright is actually good friends with Quentin Tarantino in real life, and you can definitely see the influence in the movie. I honestly felt like I was watching a game of Grand Theft Auto in movie form and it was truly dope. Edgar Wright actually wrote the screenplay with the soundtrack already picked out when the actors were reading over it. Truly a masterpiece.

Its Friday, Its BRICK AF out, and its Cuffing Season

Which means grab that $12 bottle of wine, pick up your girl or boyfriend, take my advice and please watch Baby Driver. I don’t want to keep talking about the movie and spoil it but I’ll show you some of my favorite videos I found on the internet while Ansel Elgort and Jamie Fox were promoting it.

I’m a straight male but after watching Ansel Elgort bust out those pipes I think I would make an exception. The guy is a god among men and is only 23. There are tons of other great videos they made promoting the movie so I suggest looking them up on YouTube because Jamie Foxx and Ansel are HILARIOUS together, but I do have a confession to make………… It was 1 am on a Saturday night, everyone was sleeping, there wasn’t a single noise in the house, I was all alone. So I signed up for my 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, put on Fault in Our Stars and cried my little heart out. Here’s a link to sign up and once again you can watch unlimited movies for a whole month then cancel that shit. Netflix and chillen is was 2016, its time to  be Amazon and Primen. If you want a girl friend take my advice and start #Amazonandprimen . I should probably trademark that shit. Join Amazon Prime – Watch Thousands of Movies & TV Shows Anytime – Start Free Trial Now

  2. I have been collecting music since 1966 so I have no need for Panda, Amazon, and the like. Currently I have 1,543 hours, 18 minutes, and 46 seconds in my non-classical collection. I listen to an average of 10 hours of music each day, so it takes me a little over 154 days to listen to everything, and I do listen to everything. In chronological order. Tonight I’m in May 1985: Waylong Jennings, Accept, Savatage, Dire Straits, Night Ranger, Robert Plant, Supertramp, Dead or Alive, and Bon Jovi are coming up after Dave Edmunds finishes.
