I’ll be talking to people about certain things I’m passionate about throughout the day, and more often than not the person I’m talking to will say ” You should write a blog about that.” So here is that blog.
White Suburban Moms Who Despise Rap But Listen to Hamilton
Do you hate rap or are you just racist? What’s up with this? They bump Hamilton all day long which is rap music, but the second Drake comes on the radio they change that shit quicker than Usain Bolt’s 40 time.
People Who Dance at House Party’s
There’s nothing wrong with a little bumping and grinding at a house party. I’m talking about dudes who need to clear a shit ton of space in an already overcrowded house party so they can show off their new moves that they’ve been practicing in the mirror the last two weeks. Every time I see some bro busting out moves all I picture is what he looks like dead serious practicing for hours at a time at his house alone in the mirror and never once has it not made me cringe. Hate to break it to you but people came for a party not the kid who dances in the mirror show. Nobody wants to watch you dance. You are mediocre at best. Maybe just try talking to the girl you like, it might work better.
People Who Complain Country Music is Only About Drinking, Their Dog Dying, and Their Truck
I’m not even a fan of country, I like a few songs but I would never say I’m a country fan. Even though I don’t like it as much as others I still respect the genre. Like every art form, sometimes simplicity is appreciated. If you keep music simple, more people will understand it and you can reach a bigger audience. This is how Kenny Chesney sold a million damn tickets this weekend at Gillette, that I happened to go to, which was my first country fest. There was never a point where I was blown away by the lyrics of a song, but there was also never a point where people weren’t having fun. Every one was drinking, dancing, and almost every girl I saw was a dime. I wish I could have met my future wife there, but like Mick Jagger once said. “You can’t always get what you want.” Maybe I’ll find my wife next year knowing what to expect going into country fest. Country is basically just a big party, and people who hate on it big time need to realize you can make the complaints you have about country about any genre of popular music. Ever hear Mask Off by Future? Its about partying like country and that shit bumps. Every form of music can be simple or it can be deep. Not everyone wants to cry to Evanescence. Some people would rather listen to music that makes them happy, a very complex thought I know.
Fish Not Being Considered Meat
Can we start respecting fish? With all the animal rights activists, and fresh new vegans coming out you would think someone would stand up for these fish. How many times have I heard someone say something along the lines of . “I’m a vegetarian but I eat fish.” or ” I don’t eat meat, only fish.” I even heard Nirvana say…
“And the animals I’ve trapped
Have all become my pets
And I’m living off of grass
And the drippings from the ceiling
But it’s okay to eat fish
‘Cause they don’t have any feelings”
Zero respect for fish saying they don’t have feelings. Also what is good with lent? I was raised Catholic so on Fridays we weren’t supposed to eat meat, but we can eat fish. This lead to every Catholic family in the U.S. driving to Mickey D’s every Friday and ordering five filet O’ fishes. Can we please start respecting fish?
People Who Don’t Understand Introversion and Extroversion
As a fellow introvert who knows a good amount about the subject, it annoys me how many misconceptions there are about being an introvert. Extroverts get their energy from people, where introverts get their energy from being alone, and being around people tends to drain their energy. Some people think being an introvert means being antisocial, socially awkward, or shy but those are all separate issues. Introverts can socialize just as well as extroverts but they tend to do it in smaller doses, and need to take breaks from people throughout the day. Also you can’t just become an extrovert. It’s the way we’re wired. Respect your fellow introverts please, and stop making people feel guilty for being who they are. Believe it or not telling someone they’re too quiet doesn’t make them want to talk more.
I hope you enjoyed this blog. I’ll be heading to Amsterdam Wednesday and hopefully will come back with some fresh new material. If anything bothers you that you want me to write a blog about write it in my comment section, or DM me. Peace!
